6th HRSMC/EPA Summer School on Photochemistry
July 9-12, 2020 Noordwijkerhout,
The 6th HRSMC/EPA Advanced Summer School on Photochemistry is an advanced course covering various aspects of photochemistry. It is the sixth in a series organized by the Holland Research School of Molecular Chemistry, a cooperation between the Chemistry Departments of the University of Amsterdam, Leiden University, and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, under the auspices of the European Photochemistry Association. This year the School is organized just before the IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry in Amsterdam (PhotoIUPAC2020). The preliminary programme will be published soon.
This post-graduate school is intended for PhD students, postdocs, and interested scientists active in the field of photochemistry, and for those who make use of photochemical or photophysical methods in their research.
The school will cover several essential topics in photochemistry, ranging from the fundamentals of photoreactions, to spectroscopy and computation, as well as applications such as solar energy conversion and photomedicine.
Participants are invited to present their own research as a poster. Of the submitted abstracts two will be selected for an oral presentation. The location of the school, Hotel de Witte Raaf in Noordwijkerhout, will give ample opportunity for interaction between students and invited experts.
